I am a cancer survivor (at least through today) one year out of treatment. Like all survivors, I am adjusting to the ongoing changes in my life. Healthier now - but there are the constant reminders that the battle will be long lasting. The radiation and the chemo have left me the little "reminders" - Taste buds still shot, difficulty in swallowing, easily fatigued, some nerve problems. BUT, it is getting better everyday. Relationships are strained. There is comfort in talking to other cancer fighters.
LOL>..my chemo/rdiation diet is NOT for everyone...I eat all the time now..staying at a good weight... currently reading TRUE DETECTIVES by J kellerman, Rain Gods by James l Burke and just bought South of Broad by Pat Conroy (been 14 years since his last book) gotta give Pudge a bath..lake yeater
My, my! We read many of the same authors, love the same characters and like same music - although my list is somewhat wider in range.AND... Food, glorious food! How I wish I could eat like I use to! Got about 10 to 15 lbs to go before reaching my ideal weight! Ok, a weight I can live with. "Miz Scar
